Announcement: New Executive Director

It is with great excitement that San Ramon FC announces Daniel Chamberlain as the club’s Executive Director.

Dan returns to San Ramon FC after a year and a half as the Director of Soccer Operations for the San Jose Earthquakes Academy and will start in his new role effective December 3rd.

“We are thrilled to have Dan rejoin the club. He brings to the Executive Director role strong business acumen, strategic vision, inclusive leadership, a deep soccer skill set, and experience with and a passion for the San Ramon community,” said Steve Bried, San Ramon FC Board of Directors President.

Chamberlain returns to San Ramon with an extensive background in Northern California youth soccer.  Most recently he served as the Director of Soccer Operations for the San Jose Earthquakes, where he was responsible for all soccer operations for the Academy and Youth Development program.

Overseeing the boys’ and girls’ academies, the San Jose Earthquakes 50 youth club teams, as well as the club’s programming and partnerships, Dan helped lead the Quakes Academy to a milestone year where the club made massive investment in the youth, including the signing of two 15-year old homegrown players.

Prior to joining the Earthquakes, Chamberlain served as the Director of Operations for NorCal Premier Soccer, where he was a vital member of the senior leadership team overseeing all competitions, events, and operations. While at NorCal Premier, Chamberlain had served as an Assistant Technical Director as well as the head coach for the club's 02B Navy team.

Chamberlain also has extensive experience with several of the leading youth soccer clubs across Northern California, including the Santa Cruz Breakers, Palo Alto Soccer Club, Marin FC, Peninsula SC, and the DeAnza Force.

Chamberlain got his start in coaching following his college playing career at UC Santa Cruz, where he joined as Assistant Coach to Paul Holocher. Following two years as an Assistant Coach, Chamberlain took over as Head Coach. During his three seasons as the head coach, Chamberlain led the Banana Slugs to two NCAA Playoff appearances.  Chamberlain also served as an Assistant Coach at Stanford University and the University of San Francisco.

“I am excited to be coming back to San Ramon FC,” said Chamberlain.

“This is a club with all of the ingredients to be one of the top clubs in Northern California.  We have incredible resources, from great facilities to amazing people within the club. I would like to thank Steve Bried and the rest of the Board for giving me this opportunity. I am humbled and honored to once again be part of the San Ramon FC family.”
