San Ramon FC (“SRFC”) is seeking nominations from our membership to join our Board of Directors for a two-year term. Having a soccer background is not a prerequisite. SRFC values having a board that has a cross-section and diversity of skills, backgrounds, and expertise.
Our Board members have in common a passion for their children, the community and youth soccer, as well as a desire to help raise the quality of SRFC and make it accessible to players of all ages and backgrounds. SRFC Board members represent the membership, provide high-level strategic oversight, support the professional staff and ensure accountability to our membership.
The full Board generally meets once per month [on the 3rd Wednesday of the month] and the time commitment required is moderate The first meeting of the Board will place prospective board members with continuing, current board members. Board members must be able to commit to attending meetings and events at least twice a month.
Board candidates must be members (e.g., parent of a player, adult player, coach, etc.) in good standing (with all fees paid current) of SRFC (view club bylaws PDF: https://sanramonsoccer-my.sharepoint.com/:b:/g/personal/website_sanramonfc_com/EWRhQK3aFRxFquyvSqWmKQ4BixORwtvNa47wy555Ymc7dQ?e=SuFGWc ) and accept the nomination (if made by someone else). An important requirement is that you have a desire to see the club continue to evolve, improve and thrive.

Once your nomination is received, additional information will be provided, including a Candidate Profile Statement.
Nominations will be accepted until Monday, October 1.
Electronic voting will commence no later than Friday, October 11th and continue through Sunday, October 27th at 7:30 pm.
Members who prefer to vote in person may cast their ballot at the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, October 30th at 7:30 pm.
Once the election is complete, the Board-elect and returning board members will meet at an organizational meeting on the evening of Thursday, November 21st in order to elect officers from among the returning and newly elected board members.
Between November 22nd and December 31st, the Board-elect will work with returning and outgoing board members, as well as staff, to oversee planning for 2020. On January 1, 2020, the newly elected board members’ two-year term of office commences.
