San Ramon FC (“SRFC”) is seeking nominations from our membership to join our Board of Directors for a two-year term. Having a soccer background is not a prerequisite. SRFC values having a board that has a cross-section and diversity of skills, backgrounds, and expertise.
Our Board members have in common a passion for their children, the community and youth soccer, as well as a desire to help raise the quality of SRFC and make it accessible to players of all ages and backgrounds. SRFC Board members represent the membership, provide high-level strategic oversight, support the professional staff and ensure accountability to our membership.
The full Board generally meets once per month [on the 3rd Wednesday of the month] and the time commitment required is moderate The first meeting of the Board will place prospective board members with continuing, current board members. Board members must be able to commit to attending meetings and events at least twice a month.
Board candidates must be members (e.g., parent of a player, adult player, coach, etc.) in good standing (with all fees paid current) of SRFC (view club bylaws PDF: https://sanramonsoccer-my.sharepoint.com/:b:/g/personal/website_sanramonfc_com/EWRhQK3aFRxFquyvSqWmKQ4BixORwtvNa47wy555Ymc7dQ?e=SuFGWc ) and accept the nomination (if made by someone else).
