San Ramon FC player Kyhlie Weed signed a letter of intent to play college soccer at Chico State University in the fall of 2020. When asked about her decision to attend the school, Kyhlie explained that she loved the location of the campus since it’s only a few hours away from home. Once she visited, she couldn’t stop thinking about it. It is beautiful and so is the surrounding town. She felt a strong sense of pride and community in Chico, which she is very excited to be a part of during her college years.

Kyhlie believes every coach she has come into contact with at San Ramon FC has helped to mold her into the player she is today. However, Coach Zlatko Tomic is, in her own words, "Seriously the reason I get to say I’m playing college soccer." She said, "He brought back my love for the game and pushes me and my whole team at practice every day. He puts in so much effort to our team and the club, and without him, I would be not in this position."

Weed has been a multi-sport athlete in recent years. In addition to playing soccer, she Kyhlie has been the kicker on the California High School football team for the past four years.

She is grateful for her youth soccer years with the club. She said, "San Ramon FC has brought such amazing people into my life, especially my teammates."  Kyhlie credits her teammates for helping her get where she is today.  She said her close-knit team always has each other’s backs, and teammates always support each other’s goals. Without them always pushing her and helping her learn, she is certain she would not be the player she is today.
