Darby Dresdow has committed to Biola University and will attend in the fall of 2020. She chose Biola because she felt that it was the perfect school for her. She really wanted to go to a Christian college with a population of around 5,000 people and stay in California. Biola is located in La Mirada, only 10 minutes away from Disneyland. She is truly excited to play soccer for Biola!

Growing up, Darby always played soccer, however, she was also active in several other sports. She ran track and field and cross country and played a year of competitive volleyball. She started playing soccer when she was four years old in AYSO. She currently attends Clayton Valley Charter High School in Concord and will graduate with the class of 2020.

Throughout her high school career, Dresdow has played for San Ramon FC. Many coaches have helped her over the years. Zlatko Tomic has been her coach for the past few seasons. Coach Tomic's team has given her so many opportunities to be seen by college coaches.  She says his coaching has given her confidence in her game while allowing her to grow as a player and teammate.

Another huge help was SRFC Coach Mani Salimpour. Coach Mani gave Darby the opportunity to tryout out for the NorCal Premier Player Development Program (PDP) in the fall of her sophomore year. She made the PDP team and attended monthly training sessions with some of the best competition in the area. This really allowed Dresdow to improve her game and see areas where she needed to work to be the best possible player she could be.

Darby also credits SRFC Coach Andy Mittler with providing great support and advice to further help her develop her skills over the years. "I have been so blessed to have played for San Ramon FC and have been able to be taught by such wonderful coaches. My teammates have always been encouraging and have allowed me to grow as a player and person. Thank you so much for everything San Ramon FC!"
