A written communication on the current status of San Ramon FC's soccer-related activities

Dear SRFC Families,

Since our last communication regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), there have been fast-moving developments related to the virus and growing public health concerns.

After careful consideration, and guidance from our local public health agencies, governing bodies as well as coordinating with other local clubs; we are suspending all soccer-related activities through Tuesday, March 31st.  Effective immediately, all training, games, tournament participation, and other organized club actives are suspended.  In addition, the office and futsal facility will remain closed during this suspension of club activities.

We have spent the past few days outlining a plan in the event this decision was necessary.  Our intent is to be able to restart training and all other club activities beginning April 1st, and extend our season so that teams will be able to complete their spring schedule.  However, this will depend on direction from NorCal Premier and how they choose to reschedule games.

More information will be shared as we continue to monitor developments in our community.  This situation is moving fast, and we don’t now know what the recommendations from community public health agencies will be in a week or two.  We will communicate any developments each week with all of our families by Friday at noon via email and post any new developments to our social channels and website.

We hope that through a collective effort across our sport and community we can help limit the spread of this virus.  We understand this is a tough time for all, but the health and safety, and well-being of our families and our entire community is our greatest concern.

Thank you,

Dan Chamberlain
