San Ramon FC is excited to announce several significant developments in our grassroots programming. Over the past year, the club has made significant investments in the grassroots levels of our club with the hire of Shaun Collins as our Recreational Program Manager, and the revamp of our Jr. Academy program. Today we are excited to announce several new changes that we believe will continue our investment in the youngest ages of our club.
First, we are excited to announce Dragan Hinic as the club’s new Youth Development Director. Hinic, who has been with the club for a year, joined from Dublin United where he served in a similar capacity. As Youth Development Director, Hinic will oversee all technical aspects of the club’s U8 programming. This will include our U8 Academy, Jr. Academy as well as the U5 through U8 age groups in the recreational program. Coach Dragan will provide both a passion for coaching the youngest players along with years of experience.
Second, while Coach Dragan will now oversee each of our U8 programs, two of our programs will begin to work much closer together. In the fall, the Jr. Academy and U8 Academy will begin training side by side to not only provide better oversight and instruction, but also the opportunity for more player movement when players are ready to make the jump to the next level.
Finally, in his new role, Coach Dragan will be responsible for the technical (soccer) development of our U5 through U8 age groups in the recreational program. This fall he will work directly with the volunteer coaches in these age groups to provide them with coaching education, resources, and mentorship.
Through this investment in the grassroots area of San Ramon FC, we hope to provide the best soccer experience for all young players in San Ramon, whether they are trying soccer for the first time or have a serious interest in playing the sport.
Registration is still open for our U5-U6 age groups in the fall recreational program. Click the button below to sign up today.
