New members will start serving on the board in 2021

Our Board members have in common a passion for their children, the San Ramon Community, and youth soccer, as well as a desire to help raise the quality of SRFC and make it accessible to players of all ages and backgrounds. SRFC Board members represent the membership, provide high-level strategic oversight, help generate sponsorships for the club, support the professional staff, and ensure accountability to our membership.

Board candidates must be members (e.g., parent of a player, adult player, coach, etc.) in good standing (with all fees paid current) of SRFC (view club bylaws PDF) and accept the nomination (if made by someone else). An important requirement is that you have a desire to see the club continue to evolve, improve, and thrive.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the nomination and voting process. Congratulations to the following individuals on their election to the 2021 Board of Directors at San Ramon FC:

Casie Abello (incumbent)

Tim Coats (incumbent)

Bernard Chung

Sarah Cranford

Mark Wiseman

The results of the election were read at the Annual General Meeting, which was held virtually on Thursday, October 22nd at 7:30 pm.  In addition to the 5 members who were voted into the board of directors, the club will also hold a runoff election for the final seat that is vacant.  During the course of the election, the club received 8 write-in candidates, who all received the same number of votes. Over the next few weeks, we will be contacting each of the write-in candidates to confirm their interest in the run-off election.  Once we have confirmed the candidates we will communicate our run-off election procedures.

In addition to the 5 elected board members, earlier this month, Henry Perezalonso was appointed to the 2020 Board of Directors to replace a vacant seat at the last board meeting.

The Board-elect and returning board members will meet at an organizational meeting in order to elect officers from among the returning and newly elected board members.

For the remainder of the year, the Board-elect will work with returning and outgoing board members, as well as staff, to oversee planning for 2021. On January 1, 2021, the newly elected board members’ two-year term of office commences.
