On different weekends in March, San Ramon FC's boys and girls NPL teams traveled to Nevada to compete in the Las Vegas Players Showcase; a high level competition that attracts teams from all over the United States.  This year, San Ramon FC's 2005B NPL team and all of the girls NPL teams competed; 2003/04G NPL, 2005G NPL, 2006G NPL, 2007G NPL, and 2008G NPL.

The tournament experience provided both excellent competition and team bonding that frequently occurs when players and families spend time together traveling and dining during the trip.  The 2008G NPL team finished in the top 4 out of 16 teams in their division at the Players Showcase.

San Ramon FC NPL teams also competed in Arizona at the Phoenix Cup, a popular tournament that attracts talented teams nationwide. The 2003/04B NPL, 2006B NPL, 2007B NPL, and 2009G pre-NPL teams all made the trip to the desert and found the experience and the tournament to be a rewarding endeavor.

At the Phoenix Cup, all three SRFC boys NPL teams made the effort to attend each others' games and provide support whenever possible. The camaraderie helped as all three boys NPL teams played great soccer. The 2003/04B NPL team (Coach Mani Salimpour), the 2006B NPL team (Coach Alex Uribe), and the 2007B NPL team (Coach Bijan Sadeghy) all had a terrific weekend of play to earn a spot in the finals. The 2007B NPL team won the championship, capping off their memorable weekend by raising a trophy and earning a spot in another Cup tournament later this year in Dallas.  All three boys teams earned medals, as the 06B NPL and 03/04B NPL teams finished as finalists.
