National Premier League

SRFC NPL TEAMS

San Ramon FC's NPL teams train four times per week, which includes weekly P.A.S.S. training with a certified fitness instructor.  P.A.S.S. stands for power, agility, speed, and strength.

San Ramon FC also uses Trace video technology to record NPL team games.  Video analysis is done weekly with coaches to help players gain a better understanding of positioning, tactics, and field awareness.

NPL teams will also partake in College ID Showcase Games during the 2022-23 season, giving players an opportunity to be seen by college coaches in a live game rather than an ID camp environment.

About The NPL

The National Premier League was created to elevate and change the competitive youth soccer landscape by extending developmental principles promoted by U.S. Soccer into more age groups and clubs and linking competition with player development and identification platforms.

San Ramon FC's boys and girls navy teams begin to play in the  NPL in the U13-U19 age groups. Our navy teams compete in the NorCal NPL Division of NorCal Premier, which was created to provide a national development platform with the highest level of competition in Northern California.

NPLs are leagues unified under one national competition platform and based on a common technical framework. More specifically, the NPL provides a platform focused on long-term player development for the country’s top soccer clubs, allowing consistent, meaningful high-level games appropriately scheduled with higher training-to-game ratios and eliminate calendar congestion.

The NPL is integrated with the id² Program, which includes Player Development Programs (PDPs) in select local markets, and that works closely with U.S. Soccer staff regarding player identification, and player and coach development designed and structured by the clubs, based on the needs of the clubs.
