CLUB HISTORY

San Ramon FC's mission is to develop players, character, and community through soccer.

For more than 50 years, San Ramon FC has helped boys and girls grow and develop both as players and as people through the sport of soccer. The club's staff uses 11 pillars of character as a guide for developing its curriculum for youth programs.

Founded in 1973, San Ramon FC (SRFC) is a non-profit soccer club in San Ramon, California. Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, the club is one of a small number of clubs nationwide to receive the prestigious “Players First” designation from US Club Soccer.

The club has produced college soccer athletes at the NCAA Division I, III, III, and NAIA levels. The club has had several Olympic Development Program players (boys and girls) at the District, State, Regional and National team levels. Some have played professionally, including an Olympic Gold Medalist and FIFA Women's World Cup Champion.

In addition to its youth programs, San Ramon FC fields both competitive men's and women's teams; making it one of the few clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area to provide semi-professional playing opportunities for both men and women.

Many former SRFC players have returned to the club as coaches, volunteers, adult league players, staff, administrators, and referees. Their collective efforts help San Ramon FC strengthen and grow into what has become a vibrant community and "more than a club" for its members.

San Ramon Soccer, Inc. (dba San Ramon Futbol Club), is organized exclusively for the charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or corresponding Section of any future Federal tax code (collectively “Internal Revenue Code”).
