Email ShaunAs a teacher with a passion for sports, Shaun’s education, enthusiasm, and experience will benefit the players and families in the Recreational Program and the club as a whole.
Collins grew up in Danville and attended college at San Jose State University, where he completed his degree in Recreation Management. His education continued at Cal State East Bay where he earned both a teaching credential and a master's degree in Educational Technology Leadership.
“Gaining a passion for a sport can provide a path to life-long physical (as well as mental) fitness, which is extremely important as we continue to rely more and more on technology in our daily lives”, Collins said.
Shaun has coached competitive youth ice hockey at both regional and national levels. His experience has taught him the importance of remaining respectful and humble towards coaches, teammates, opponents, officials, and parents.
Collins works as a physical education teacher at Twin Creeks Elementary School and lives in San Ramon with his wife and daughter.
