Soccer KickSTARters Program Overview

SRFC Soccer KickSTARters is a fun new parent/child soccer learning program for toddlers and pre-k children ages 18 months to 39 months!

It's an introduction to soccer that emphasizes gross motor skills, listening skills, basic soccer ball skills, and a sportsmanship curriculum. 

The word S.T.A.R. is an acronym that represents important qualities for soccer and life that will be emphasized by the program curriculum:

• Sportsmanship
• Teamwork
• Attitude
• Respect

Parents/Guardians are required to be on the field each week and participate in the class with their child.

The weekly classes will be led by the club's Youth Development Director, Dragan Hinic.

Children will be grouped by age for each weekly class. Group One will be 18-24 months and Group Two will be 25-39 months.

Each location (shown below) will have two time slots, one time slot dedicated for each age group.

Fall 2023 Program Details

# of classes:  One per week
Length of program:  7 weeks
Start/End dates:  September 12 through October 26
Length of each class: 45 minutes
Day/Time: Wednesday, 2:30 pm to 3:15 pm
Location: Central Park
Parent/Guardian Participation In Class: Mandatory
*Class t-shirts will be provided to players and guardians and should be worn at each class
Pricing: $250 per child
What To Bring/Wear:  Class t-shirt, water, shoes or cleats (no sandals)
Birth Years for Child: March 1, 2022 - December 31, 2020 (Child *must* be 18 months old by September 1, 2023)

Meet Coach Dragan

San Ramon FC's new soccer KickSTARter Classes will be led by Coach Dragan Hinic, who is San Ramon FC's Youth Development Director.  You'll be happy to know that Coach Dragan is full of fun, patience, enthusiasm, and positive energy!  He'll bring his talents and expertise to the KickSTARter classes to help your kids have fun, build confidence, and learn through play. 

Coach Dragan has a degree in Health and Exercise Science and a Masters degree in Education.  He has earned his Physical Education (PE) teaching credentials. He has also completed many hours of coursework and coaching curriculum and received multiple coaching licenses from both the US Soccer Federation and United Soccer Coaches Association.
